A great cheese which is as happy on a cheeseboard as it is grated over your pasta. Made using traditional Italian methods, however, we use a vegetarian rennet in place of the animal rennet and is the only cheese of its type to be Vegetarian Society Approved.

Orders are dispatched Monday - Thursday via APC overnight courier. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Mainland, Borders and offshore may take 2-3 days to be delivered.

Orders placed after 12 noon on Thursday will be dispatched the following Monday (Tuesday if Monday is a Bank Holiday)

I can be stored in the fridge for at least 3 months. You can also freeze me and then take me out of the freezer, grate me whilst frozen and pop me back in the freezer. Some customers grate me and place me grated into the freezer. And don't forget I am also quite tasty eaten on my own or with a piece of fruit or a glass or two of wine. Enjoy!

This medium fat hard cheese is made from pasteurised cows' milk and is matured for 15 months. It is sweeter than most would expect and, therefore, can be eaten as an everyday cheese; it is great with an apple or pear, a glass of wine and is brilliant to cook with.

Suitable for vegetarians and home freezing.

    Ordering was fine but I missed delivery address. Next morning called by Bookham to advise that I had collection which was wrong. Rectified and received order the next day, contents well packaged and in ice pack. Brilliant!

    The cheese is good when it arrives on time. It’s supposed to be overnight and is packed with a cool gel thing. Unfortunately, the last two times APC have failed to deliver the next day. The extra day in transit does affect the cheese, which then has an oily feel.

    An easy five stars for the produce but the wholesale ordering platform is overly complicated and glitchy, which makes it very frustrating and time-consuming to place an order – be great if you could sort that out 🙂

    The cheese tasted as good as normal. Unfortunately, we had problems with the delivery – APC took an extra day to get it to us (and then left it on the doorstep without ringing the bell apparently – we were all in) and this was in one of the recent heatwaves. As a result, the cheese is very oily on the outside and awkward/unpleasant to hold. It still tastes fine though. This is the second time APC have failed to deliver next day, but normally no problem. The cheese is a great Parmesan substitute when you have a vegetarian to feed.

    I love Bookham Farms. The Sussex Charmer is divine. The price is more than reasonable and actually comparable to (inferior) supermarket prices, and you don’t have to mortgage the house to get free delivery! Bookham Farm is contactable and very responsive, I have phoned on occasion to change an order at a late stage. The product is always delivered on time and in perfect condition. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
