I can be stored in the fridge for at least 3 months. You can also freeze me and then take me out of the freezer, grate me whilst frozen and pop me back in the freezer. Some customers grate me and place me grated into the freezer. And don't forget I am also quite tasty eaten on my own or with a piece of fruit or a glass or two of wine. Enjoy!

This medium fat hard cheese is made from pasteurised cows' milk and is matured for 15 months. It is sweeter than most would expect and, therefore, can be eaten as an everyday cheese; it is great with an apple or pear, a glass of wine and is brilliant to cook with.

I highly recommend the Twineham Grange Italian Style Hard Cheese. I am a vegetarian and try to cook using low saturated fat ingredients. Although this cheese is medium fat, it is so full bodied and tasty that a relatively small amount gives a great Parmesan flavour. I use the rind as well – put it in a stew or casserole to add a savoury taste.

Ordering from the website is straightforward, and the cheese arrives very quickly and well packaged to ensure it’s in great condition. I order two at a time and put one in the freezer – the flavour and texture are not affected by this, and may even be enhanced. The best vegetarian hard cheese that I know of. It’s not quite the real deal but close. The 500g wedges are a 1/3 smaller than they used to be (750g) and that is a bit irritating as we get through them that much quicker – and they cost the same but that is inevitable in today’s economy.

I ordered Twine Grange vegetarian cheese after it being recommended in Prue Leith’s book “the vegetarian cook book†as a substitute for regular Parmesan. It arrived promptly beautifully packed and wonderfully fresh. I considered it to be very good value for money considering the size of the portion. I was delighted to have discovered your vegetarian alternative to parmesan. So many veggies stumble at this hurdle! My first purchase of 3 x 250g led me to believe that this was the solution – not quite the texture or strength of flavour of parmesan but a pretty good and tasty hard cheese. However, my recent purchase (greater quantity) is, I have to say, rather a disappointment: bland flavour and almost too soft to grate. This is nowhere near an approximation of the ‘parmesan’ characteristics I was hoping for. Really sorry that this batch, at least, hasn’t matched expectation.
