We sell our Sussex Charmer as fixed weights, so we get a few that are either too big or too small and some that are not quite the right shape; the quality of the cheese is exactly the same. We normally put 1kg of these into a paper bag and sell them through our Milk Churn Coffee Shop.

Sussex Charmer is the marriage of two very separate cheese production methods, each one ancient and prestigious in its own right. Combining the creaminess of a mature farmhouse cheddar with the zing of an Italian-style hard cheese, this versatile cheese is a stunning addition to the cheese board.

Orders are dispatched Monday - Thursday via APC overnight courier. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Mainland, Borders and offshore may take 2-3 days to be delivered.
Orders placed after 12 noon on Thursday will be dispatched the following Monday (Tuesday if Monday is a Bank Holiday)

We were both delighted and honoured that Waitrose chose to feature Sussex Charmer so strongly in their amazing Christmas TV advert with Kiera Knightley and Joe Wilkinson. It was the cheese that they feel in love with over the Waitrose Deli counter.
Combining the creaminess of a mature farmhouse cheddar with the zing of an Italian Style Hard Cheese, this versatile cheese is a stunning addition to the cheese board. In 2008, it won Best New Dairy Product at the largest cheese awards in the world, hosted in Nantwich, Cheshire. It has since gone on to win a further 12 Golds at these International Cheese and Dairy Awards and claiming Best Catering Cheese in Show in 2014 and 2023.
In 2017, it was awarded Best British Cheddar at the prestigious Quality Food Awards.

Very good cheese. Love Sussex Charmer. Always a great product and really good flavour. Problem with courier delivery (which I made you aware of at the time) which good have ruined product had neighbour not removed from doormat in the sun.
